There are an excitement and feeling of love in the air the morning of a wedding of Anna and Andreas. The bride wanted to capture our lovely fall and bring the energy of colors in the florals with this elegant style of classic chic elegant indoor wedding to the Clubhouse of Boundary Oak.

The bride came to me last September (I cannot believe it was a year ago!) through a recommendation from my another customer to whom I did a wedding at Wente Vineyards. Carefully discussed all details with Anna, I put a draft wedding flowers proposal together for the elegant indoor wedding.  During all months working together, we made a few changes in the wedding agreement – in colors, in quantities, and in designs as well.  Here, below, you can see some pictures that are the inspirations from the wedding flowers proposal, although, I do not show the full document filled with tons of details and photos.

To me, all aspects matter! I am focused on details like ribbon colors, the breakdown on the price of your flowers, flower selection, and colors because they are essential to you!

The inspirations from the wedding flowers proposal

Anna’s  bridal bouquet supposes to be lush, large, more dramatic in color. For every bride, I combine only premium flowers and make sure the size of the wedding bouquet is appropriate for any of my client. Here, for Anna, I used the blush garden roses White O’Hara, roses Hearts that bring the deep wine color, roses Pink Floyd, cymbidium orchids Ruby, locally grown burgundy dahlias Royal and pink spray garden roses Bombastik, imported light pink hellebores, pink lisianthus, burgundy hydrangea, and beautiful greens presented by grey eucalyptus and chocolate agonis, pepper berries. How many stems did I use here?

The bridesmaid bouquets were designed is the same garden style. However, they were lighter in color to contrast with the darker dresses and much smaller in size. I made 9 bridesmaids bouquets – it was such huge bridal party! This is the list of flowers for the bridesmaid’s posies – blush ranunculus and blush spray roses, cream roses Playa Blanca and hot pink roses Pink Floyd, hot pink garden spray roses, white lisianthus, silver eucalyptus, chocolate agonis.

Andrea’s boutonniere is made of wine color orchid phalaenopsis, to match Anna’s wedding bouquet.  However, this orchid boutonniere is different, featuring the groom among other males.

The groomsman boutonnieres are also burgundy but designed out of double cymbidium mini orchids, with the touch of greens. The family boutonnieres are very similar to the groomsmen’s ones.

I made 2 flower girl crowns in asymmetrical style using the variety of spray roses, greens, and an orchid;  they turned out very cute. When I arrived at the church, the little flower girls decided do not have any flowers on their heads, but their mothers with pleasure had those fresh flower adornments.

Anna and Andreas chose to have the ceremony at the Ascension Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Oakland. It is significant size church inside with such a powerful energy that you fill with your skin.

To dress up the ceremony for the bride and groom we displayed 4 tall bright color centerpieces onto white 25-inches pedestals by the iconostasis, grouping them by 2 arrangements at each side. The big centerpieces brought the primary accent for the wedding ceremony, complimenting the festive church.

Right after the wedding ceremony, the reception took its place in the nice country club at Walnut Creek – The Clubhouse at Boundary Oak. The whole room transformed from what I saw during the walkthrough with Anna and her mother. The draping behind the head table was beautiful,  featuring the 3 crystal candelabras. And after we filled the ballroom of Clubhouse at Boundary Oak with gorgeous florals it became festive and welcomed to have an elegant indoor wedding dinner.

To create another level in the ballroom for the elegant indoor wedding and to save a budget  I usually design medium size theme wedding centerpieces in beautiful compote vases.

And as the primary decor for the head table or the sweetheart table, I created the long garland of the burgundy hydrangeas, roses Playa Blanca and Hearts, roses Pink Floyd, dahlias Royal and Ruby orchids,  complimented by light greens.

Besides the main ballroom room, there were a couple of areas filled with decor – a guest table, a welcome sign, and of course a wedding cake!
